Syd Franklin’s discography would be incomplete without one fundamental instrument: her voice. Effortlessly carrying melodies with her low-laying, jazzy vocals; listening to Syd is just as easy as she makes it seem. With a common thread of creating music based on her immediate resources - her real-life experiences - she manages to develop works so personal to her, yet as though she’s telling the stories of all our lives. Inspired by the styles of Robert Plant and Aretha Franklin, two of Syd’s biggest inspirations, you can always expect the unexpected from her. Franklin made her debut appearance at SXSW Conference and Festival performing at an all-female artist showcase and has since performed for iHeart Media, SiriusXM, NYC's famed Iridium, Rockwood Music Hall, and DC's own Union Stage. She recently received Honorable Mention recognition from the 2018 Unsigned Only Music Competition for "Make It Hurt," in the Vocal Performance Category.  Syd shared her greatest asset in the recent collaboration lending backup vocals on Giveon’s “Another Heartbreak” from his 2022 debut album Give or Take. You may also already know Syd from her 2018 hit “Make It Hurt,” as she has surpassed a million streams to date.

Syd took a break from releasing music but has been quietly working on a body of work that she now is eager to share. , "Liability", Franklin's first release in 5 years came to fans earlier this year after being shared on social media. The song has now already surpassed 500,000 streams in just a few months thereby reintroducing Syd and her music to a whole new audience. Her next single, Good Guy, is set to release on April 28 and is her second single off her debut EP as a solo artist, set to release in 2023.
